WEIGHT LOSS DIETS.

Today I decided to do some research on diets so I typed diets into my search engine and found 69,000,000 sites about diets. Then I narrowed it down to Weight Loss Diets and found 38,800,000 of these.
There were sites like Speedy Slimming Caps which claimed to be selling a Capsule that they claim will burn fat and reduce apetite.  Now I ask you, if this was genuine would there be any overweight people in the world?  Well maybe.  This capsule retails for $59.95 AUD for 60 capsules.
The next site I looked at  was Diet2 Weightloss and their claim to attract you was "she lost 21kg in 3 months".
If you  break that down, she lost less than 1kg per week.  One of the things they did say however was
"The reason why most diets fail, in our opinion, is that they impose unrealistic restrictions on how you live your life"""  and I agree that this is one of the reasons most diets fail in the long term.
Another site that I felt had merit was Free Online Health but I was put off by a pop up  selling a weight loss program.  Why pay for something that you can get for nothing.
By the time I had gone through several sites I finally found a site that I would recommend to anyone wanting to lose weight and avoid diseases such as diabetes and heart disease later in life and that was Better Health Channel.Better Health will give you some down to earth, easy to understand basics about weight loss. The first sentence in their article is "These days it's hard to open a magazine without reading about the next miracle weight loss program.  But if these diets are so effective, why are there so many new ones?
Weight loss pills, capsules, shakes etc do not work long term.  Quite of the weight loss you experience with many fad diets is actually fluid loss and as soon as you go off the diet the fluid returns and you are back to square one.
For long term sustainable weight loss you need to have an eating program that is portable and simple to follow and most of all healthy.  When you go out to dinner or are travelling you need to be able to stay on your eating plan and you certainly don't want to be constantly measuring, weighing or counting calories of kilojules or whatever the buzz word is at the moment.
Remember, fad diets can damage your health so before starting a weight loss program get the facts, see your doctor or a dietician and stay healthy.
