SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Once again the year is flying by and here we are in the first days of Spring and what a lovely time of year it is.  My new found home of Toowoomba has recovered from the devastating  floods of last summer and the gardens are bursting into bloom as we prepare for our famous Carnival of the Flowers which will be on from 16th to the 25th of this month.

Spring is a beautiful time of re-birth and the Liquid Amber trees, lining many of our streets, the tiny green buds of new leaves are just appearing, after standing naked through the cold winter months.

During the Carnival of the Flowers busloads of people visit my town to see the wonderful parks and gardens in full bloom.  These gardens have to be seen to be believed.

The cold winds that buffeted us in winter have now given away to glorious mild sunny days and we are finally starting to shed a few layers of clothing as the days become warmer.

Love is definitely in the air but it doesn't last nearly long enough.
