NEW TOWN-NEW DOCTOR

When I moved to my new town (which I am totally in love with) one of the hardest things I had to do was find a new doctor.

I had been seeing the same doctor for over twenty years and I had complete faith in him.He was easy to to talk to, knew everything about me and my family and had supported me through some very difficult times and I didn't think I would ever be able to replace him.  This was the most difficult thing I had to do after moving.  Forget the unpacking and settling in, forget finding new friends, a decent shopping centre and hairdresser, replacing my doctor was truly the biggie.

Like most people I put off looking until I could put it off no longer and I was very lucky.  The first doctor I saw I clicked with.  She was thorough and I found her very easy to talk to and when I walked out of her surgery after that first contact I heaved a huge sigh of relief.

If you are looking for a new doctor for whatever reason, you should read this article, written by Trisha Torry. It will give you some really great advice that I am sure you will find helpful. Choosing the Right Doctor for Your Medical Care.

Our relationship with our doctor is probably the most important  in our lives outside our family relationships and it is vitally important to make the right choice for your own peace of mind.
