Take Care of Yourself

We all know that it is important to take care of ourselves if we want to maintain good health.  We need to watch our diet, get plenty of exercise and keep our minds active by putting our brains to work with things like Sudoku and above all, keep learning everyday of your life. We women also have to make sure we examine our own breasts regularly as well as have our GP examine them and have regular pap smears.


There are lots of diets around and some are not very good.  A dietitian or a nutritionist can set you straight on how to have a healthy diet that you can maintain because eating healthy really is a lifestyle change and not something you do when you put on extra weight.  Once we hit our forties when we lose weight our skin does not snap back and after weight loss you really start to sag so maintaining your ideal weight is very important..


Exercise need not necessarily mean flogging yourself at the gym for hours, exercise can actually be fun.  Playing sport, swimming and dancing are wonderful forms of exercise that you can  enjoy and it will probably do you as much, if not more good than the gym so have fun with your exercise and enjoy getting fit.

Women take their health much more seriously than most men and the results of this speak for themselves.  Women live longer.  We face up to and overcome the embarrassment of  the tests we need to have.  A lot of men, on the other hand, do not.


My philosophy is, enjoy everything you do.  Keep learning as long as you live and love life and yourself.
