We are now into our ninth day of our trip and after leaving The Sovereign Resort Hotel we visited the James Cook Museum. You may be interested in Queen of the north: A pictorial history of Cooktown and Cape York Peninsula
.
We then visited the Cemetery with the Chinese Shrine. If you go to Cooktown then be sure to put a visit to the Cemetery on your list of must visit sites. We also visited Nature's Powerhouse at the Cooktown Botanicla Gardens before travelling along the Bloomfield Track to Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the sea.

My photos simply do not do justice to this beautiful part of Australia so for anyone who would like to see more of Cape Tribulation visit Changing Moods of Cape Tribulation or Rainforest Canopy, Cape Tribulation National Park, Queensland, Australia Photographic Poster Print by Amanda Hall, 12x16
. This is a very special place so please don't miss out on these wonderful pictures.
Our destiantion today was Ferntree Rainforest Lodge and we arrived that afternoon. Ferntree Rainforest Lodge is actually cabins built in the rainforest and it blends in with it's surroundings. The cabins are spacious and well appointed. Dinner was not up to our meal in Cooktown but they excelled themselves with breakfast
This will be our last night before returning to Cairns. Tomorrow we will finally cross the Daintree River which is really the highlight of our trip and we are all excited about tomorrows adventure.
